SAFFRON-BROOKLYN
Saffron Brooklyn was established in October of 2009 in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. As the project of a New Yorker who was raised and grew up in Fort Greene, Saffron has become a space that brings both the old and new community together. We specialize in unique arrangements informed by our team’s experience in the arts and have garnered a reputation for our unique sensibilities over the past decade. We are a small team that have degrees in Fine Arts, Architecture and Art History.
Our studio and gallery space formerly known as Sunday Takeout was founded in 2016 which focuses on working with local and emerging artists and collaborate with like-minded organizations to further educate and help secure accessibly to those in our communities. We hope to relaunch this project in the future.
In May of 2019, we joined the oldest historic city-run public market in New York, Essex Market located at 88 Essex Street in the Lower East Side, as our second location, likewise guided by a belief in bringing unconventional, daring flowers to the surrounding community in a manner rooted in immediacy and personal connection.
